The tour focuses on a modern-day recreation of a tenement apartment, complete with worn-out and cheap household fixtures common a century ago. The museum curators will also provide commentary about the living conditions of the day, the types and qualities of amenities available to low-income families, and the sacrifices that they had to make. Space in this virtual event is limited, so potential guests are encouraged to email the Mattituck Laurel Library to reserve a spot.
