Water Water Everywhere in Mattituck

Water is available in every home and virtually every building as a necessity, but it also can be as a terrible liability when it sudden presents where it shouldn't be.  This can be via pipe burst, sewage backup, flooding, plumbing failures and human error.  We've had thousand of these and the common denominator is always WATER.  

At SERVPRO of the North Fork, some of the first things we do on a water job like a recent one in Mattituck, include taking a visual inspection, multiple moisture readings in the air and building materials such as drywall and wood framing.  We check the moisture levels in the air as well.  

A main task is removing moisture in the air, when the humidity levels are too high.  Our equipment does this rapidly!  We repeatedly test and retest the surfaces and air through the job to ensure that moisture levels are within acceptable ranges.
