Massive Fire Damage in House in Cutchogue, NY

The fire damage in this house in Cutchogue, New York, caused by faulty wiring. Homes with inadequate wiring can cause fires from electrical hazards. Unfortunately, in this case the fire was not stopped on time, causing severe damage to the entire house. SERVPRO of the North Fork was brought in to restore the house, and our technicians cleaned the surface soot, and smoke. We also had to remove drywall from the existing ceiling and walls & paneling. We cleaned floors, wall studs, roof systems and seal wall studs. We then proceeded to remove smoke odors by placing thermal floggers that mimic the smoke from a fire to penetrate the walls much like the smoke from a fire to deodorize the affected area.
